Located in Bassenthwaite, in the North of Lake District National Park, Highside B&B offers relaxed accommodations, free Wi-Fi throughout and free public parking on site. The property is set right off the A591 road, only 13 minutes' drive from the renowned market town of Keswick.

A gorgeous room in a gorgeous location. Abby and Corinne were wonderful hosts, and very accommodating as our schedule shifted a couple of times. Great communication at all times. The room was truly 5-star. We felt lucky to stay at Highside!

The room and bathroom were very good and we had a lovely view onto the lake. Karen and Tim were very welcoming and helpful hosts - recommendations for where to eat etc. The breakfast was also very good - Tim's scambled egg just right and Karen's homemade granola and compote really lovely. The front patio has nice furniture if you want to sit outside surrounded by a pretty patio garden. There are walks from the guest house or within a short driving distance and a lot more just a little further afield.

Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The surroundings were stunningly lovely and the garden and walks were beautiful. The food was incredibly good and reasonably priced for the very high quality. Beautiful meals and the breakfast has changed how I think of mushrooms. Great wines and cocktails.

My wife and I chose stay at Armathwaite Hall for our 40th wedding anniversary. We chose well as the atmosphere and ambience throughout this classy hotel was excellent, as were all aspects of the dining experience. The hotel provided us with details (with maps) of three walks which started and finished at the main gates of the hotel, which we greatly enjoyed. The hotel is situated in a relatively quiet, but attractive, corner of the Lake District which also suited us very well.

We loved our stay at ouse bridge with our dog Bonnie. Ben and Virginia were so welcoming and it felt like a home away from home. The b and b is very dog friendly which was so lovely and the room itself was clean and comfortable- perfect after an active day in the lake district and very good value for money. We loved the honesty bar too it is such a nice touch. The breakfast was perfect each morning with lots of choice. Location is lovely- nice and peaceful and only a short drive to Keswick. Thanks so much we hope to come stay again one day!
