Words cannot describe the views from Monsanto and the Old House, and pictures cannot describe how wonderful our time with Eloiza and Fernando was. They were such gracious hosts and made sure we felt at home and welcome. They helped with bags, made dinner reservations for us, gave us a wonderful history of Monsanto, and prepared a wonderful breakfast on our porch. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer! The sunset was amazing, but our hosts were even better.

First of all, Helena is a lovely person. Very tender, she is always available for a good talking and valuables tips about Monsanto. The house is very cozy, very well equipped including a laundry machine. As a pattern of Monsanto, this house was made having in its structure and walls the rocks of mountain. The decoration is beautiful, the shower good and Helena also serves a delicious breakfast. A place to save in a very special spot of our hearts.

The location is not easy to reach, there are some parking spot nearby but there is no indication (you’ll find out when there). The view from the room is beautiful, room are quite, you can enter at anytime with the key. Staff is sooo sweet and lovely ! Breakfast was really good.

modern in an old stone building. nice art and well equipped. Wi-Fi was excellent. safe bike space. easy access to a fabulous restaurant and Eloiza somehow got us a reservation. Eloiza and Fernando are gracious, super helpful and so pleasant. I would return and stay in this apt or one of the others Eloiza has beautifully renovated. if you arrive by car, one of them will meet you where you can park your car. they will bring you & your bags to the apt. we arrived by bikes. Eloiza did offer to drive our panniers downhill as we were leaving!

A beautiful and unique property. Very relaxing and comforting place, with fantastic and stunning (and fairly easy) hikes up to Monsanto. Wonderful hosts (including the dogs :-). Definitely recommended.

Uns hat einfach alles gefallen und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl! Das ganze Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail dekoriert und wir hatten trotz aller moderner Annehmlichkeiten das Gefühl auf einer Zeitreise zu sein. Tagsüber waren wir wandern und die Gegend erkunden und abends lasen wir am Kaminofen. Es riecht angenehm in dem Haus und wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Alles war picobello sauber geputzt und die Kommunikation und Schlüsselübergabe hat reibungslos geklappt. Klare Empfehlung von uns als Familie mit Kindern.

the place was amazing, so cute and in the most enchanting village It was spacious and super clean. Host was available and answered all of our questions. The air conditioner in the main space was key as it is hot in Monsanto. The kitchen had everything and so cute. you do have to be careful if you are very tall but keep in mind you are staying in a medieval village!! The location of this place was just perfect. Staying here was a real experience going back in time. And the terrace- wow!

Quaint house close to shop/cafe. Small and basically equipped kitchen. Host very friendly and helpful. The private outdoor area with a bbq were a treat. There was even an orange tree full of fruit. There was a nice walk up the old road to Monsanto
