We had the opportunity to book this apartment on a very short notice for a stay of five nights in August 2019. The apartment is very nice, well organized with a separate bedroom, living room with a sofa and a fully furnished kitchen, so we could have our own breakfasts and dinners. Many fine details are taken care of (e.g. soaps and shampoos in the bathroom). There are nice views to the surrounding mountains. The host is very welcoming and helpful. The communication with her before and during our stay was excellent. The location is very convenient; we could easily explore by car the northern black forest (e.g. Baden-Baden, Schwarzwaldhochstrasse, Bad Wildbad) and even the Kinzig valley (Alpirsbach, Schiltach). Supermarkets are located within a few minutes' drive. An added bonus is the Schwarzwald plus card - we could use many chairlifts/railways (e.g. Ruhestein, Merkur, Sommerberg) for free. All in all, excellent value for money.

The room was SO clean! They even vacuumed daily! The facility gave us a complimentary room upgrade as we were honeymooning! The pool was great and had a couple small water features within it (waterfall, fountain) - there’s a separate pool area that has an outdoor swim through area, too! Meals were absolutely fantastic from breakfast to the five course dinners! Our server Daniel was kind and funny and made great wine recommendations!! The bartenders made cocktails that were works of art and were delicious! oh can’t forget that you’re RIGHT in a national park in the Black Forest with tons of walking paths everywhere! We want to come back!!

The whole place was a joy, with very helpful & friendly staff. We had a stunning room, for which the listing photos don't convey the high quality at all. The room, bed, sofa, balcony & bathroom were all perfect. The rooftop was also great, with both stunning pool & sauna being excellent in addition to the many loungers/beds/relaxation spots. Snacks & drinks (order by phone from reception) were good service, but not always kept stocked (& mojito was too strong with not enough mint or ice). The pool bag in the room with sauna/bath towels was really helpful & made it really enjoyable to go to the pool. We didn't try the basement one. Dinner was very good at Schlossberg in the same building & breakfast buffet was luxuriously excellent, with a separate smaller Murgstube room to eat in that was a bit quieter. We went for a nice walk that still got deep into the forest, by walking up the hill across the rail line, behind the hotel.

Lovely place in the middle of the woods. Great nature around and a great place to relax. They have a wellness center with plenty of options that we unfortunately could not try because of time constraints, but they had accessible prices. A place to come back.
