I can’t recommend staying here highly enough. Matia and all the staff are warm, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make sure our stay on Maio was unforgettable. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable; the food is excellent. 100% stay here!

Excellent stay on Maio island! Very beautiful and peaceful place. The stella Maris village was great and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I will definitely consider them for any future trips to Maio. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Djarmai. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable, in a good location and very well equipped. Marcella and Lorenzo are extemely accomodating. They provided us an upgraded apartment for the week and since we had to check out before our ferry, they moved us to another apartment free of charge for the rest of the afternoon until the shuttle to our ferry. The customer service was exceptional with little personal touches really enhanced the experince. Highly reccomended!

I have travelled all my life and Bernard is one of the most welcoming hosts I have ever had! The family welcomes you like old friends and makes you feel so comfortable. They generously share with you their love for and knowledge of Maio. Really I didn't want to leave! Bernard organized hiking for us and the pool was such a bonus! He's also an excellent chef! I would rate this house 20!

kristoph and Mona are a very hospitable and warm couple ( French/Norwegian) , you feel immediately at home with them. They pick you up from the boat and serve excellent meals, homemade bread and marmelade and cheese for breakfast, fresh fish dinners. They have created their own piece of heaven on a hectare of walled land. There are only two apartments, very cosy and well equipped. the dogs Jazzy and Irma are part of the family and make you feel straight at home as well. The beautiful beach is at walking distance very nearby, as is the lovely laid back village of Moro. Just walk to the beautiful centuries old baobab tree and you will find the village. From Villa maio/Porto ingles you can walk back to your apartment along the salt pans, a lovely one and a half hour walk.

This hotel is very nice. I stayed in the Cesária suite which was lovely. My friend stayed in a first floor room which was also very nice. Breakfast was always fresh and the ladies in the kitchen are very sweet. All the staff, including the owner, was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The internet worked throughout our stay, although a bit slow, but this is true in much of Cabo Verde.

The location is the best, safe street, close to everything, minutes walking from the main beaches and touristic places. The place HAS HOT WATER ! That was a plus to me since lots claim to have and dont. The owner and her employee are lovely!
