the property was impeccably clean and a beautiful building the host Maria was so welcoming and pleasant. the pool was gorgeous day and night and there was always hot water when needed

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt, die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht, der Gastgeber hat viele Jahre in Deutschland gelebt und spricht gut deutsch und englisch. Er hat uns mit Wein, Olivenöl und frischen Eiern aus dem eigenen Garten versorgt und auch sonst sämtliche Wünsche erfüllt. Die Lage ist von Feldern umgeben, es sind täglich Schafherden über die Straße vorm Grundstück geführt worden, auf dem Grundstück selbst wachsen Nektarinen, Zitronen, wilder Wein und Minze, es ist eine richtige grüne Oase.

Perfekte Lage zum Strand. Toller Ausblick vom 2. Stock. Zwei von drei Tavernen am Strand hatten noch geöffnet (Oktober). Wir waren eine Familie mit 9 Personen. Haben Tisch und Stühle auf die obere Terrasse getragen, um alle zusammen zu sein. Ein sehr sehr netter Vermieter. Er hatte uns frisches Gebäck, Wasser und Olivenöl hingestellt. An einem Abend hat der Vermieter uns abgeholt und wir konnten beim Pressen von Oliven zuschauen. Ebenso waren für Kinder Sandspielsachen da. Es wurden nach 3 Tagen die Handtücher gewechselt. Supermarkt in ca. 3 Kilometer Entfernung. Coronatest war ebenso bei einem Arzt in der Strasse vom Supermarkt möglich. Schnelltest 10 Euro.

If you want peace and tranquility then Villa Elia is the place to go. The villa is beautiful and very well proportioned, the 4 bedrooms are very roomy with 2 featuring ensuite shower/bathrooms. The outside area is very clean and well thought-out with the swimming pool a dominant and must have feature. The nearest shops, bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away as is the beach. The nearby bus stop will take you into Georgioupoli or along to Rethymnon, but most of the time we stayed local or splashed out on the short taxi ride (only 8 euros). Geogios the villa owner greeted us on our arrival and handed over 2 litres of wine, 2 litres of raki and 2 litres of olive oil. All from his own farm, He was great and gave us loads of information about the surrounding area.
