Location is ok, not easy to find as no signposts available. Quite narrow passage to the parking slot, be careful when you drive in.

La Casa del Sole was the core of our Zante holiday. It is a beautiful stone house, spacious, tastefully decorated and always kept crispy clean. One has everything one needs in the house - from kitchen utensils to a walk in closet and even a needle kit :) all carefully chosen with a nice attention to details. The location is wonderful, close to all beautiful places on the west coast - the one with beautiful sunsets, tasteful and calmer beaches (close to the famed Shipwreck too), as well as a max 30 min to Zante and the more touristic beaches on the east coast. Agapi and her beautiful family made our stay very comfortable and warm. Communication prior and during our stay was top. We received loads of curated recommendations, delicious family made bio olive oil, locally sourced sea salt and loads of care. It felt like being part of the big beautiful Greek family.

Alles war wunderbar bei Athina! Wir waren mit 4 Personen als 2 Pärchen dort und es hat uns an Nichts gefehlt! Stets nette Gespräche, nützliche Infos und ein Bier zum Willkommen heißen gab es auch. Alles in Einem ein wundervoller Aufenthalt mit einem tollen Haus, einer schönen Gegend in der wir uns wunderbar entspannen konnten. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

We stayed at Vorto House for 10 days in July 2022. It's a pleasant, cozy, spotlessly clean place with a very nice courtyard, where one can hang out in the shade during the heat of the day and cool off under the stars at night. Iannis, the owner is a wonderful host, with a great style and great stories of his 200-year old house. Xristina, the lady who comes over every second day to clean up and make the beds is also a very nice, helpful person. We loved the village, Agios Leon as well, paying daily visits to the loveliest family-run cafe down the road (with the inimitable Diamantina in charge), the neighboring bakery, and the minimarket run by an affable Greek-Canadian. Admittedly, the village is not exactly close to the more popular areas of the island, but having rented a car, this has caused us no trouble, and we loved the beaches nearby.

Eigenlijk alles, huisje en zwembad werden iedere dag gepoetst, alles werkte (wil nog wel eens niet het geval zijn bij vakantiehuisjes). Mooie slaapkamers, allen met een eigen televisie, gratis airco. In het huis zijn twee badkamers en een buitendouche (wat niet helemaal duidelijk uit de beschrijving komt). Het zwembad is groot, mooi en modern met apart kindergedeelte, op het terras staan meerdere zitjes en er zijn zes mooie ligbedden. De trap naar de bovenverdieping kraakt wel behoorlijk maar dat vonden we eigenlijk wel grappig. De poetsvrouw en de zwembadman (eigenlijk manusje van alles) waren zeer vriendelijk en zorgden overal voor (b.v. lenen van een barbecue). Huisje heeft veel privacy, nabijgelegen huisjes zijn niet of nauwelijks zichtbaar. In de directe omgeving zijn meerdere zeer goede restaurants (taverna's). Een auto is wel nodig omdat het huisje vrij afgelegen ligt tussen de bomen. We huren al vele jaren vakantiehuisjes, dit was zeker een van de beste.
