Had a wonderful time. I felt that Kawasaki-san, the proprietor, genuinely enjoys hosting and interacting with guests. Although not from Aso originally, he and his daughter (who was visiting) demonstrated masterfully the charms and hospitality of countryside life in Japan. The house house itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There are only a few rooms, so there won’t be many guests at once. The cozy bedroom is nostalgic of my childhood room, with lots of books and wooden shelves. Pictures do not do this place justice, trust the reviews and come stay!
